Renovo Ministries is a Connexion service group connecting college students with folks in need. The group is passionate about answering Christ’s call to serve the least of these as a part of the local church-doing so with a spirit of unity found in scripture.

Here’s the story :

Renovo Ministries was born from a need. Two Christian students from Bloomington, Indiana found that local soup kitchens did not serve lunch on Sundays. Through prayer, the Holy Spirit’s guidance, devotion of a group of students, and a location provided by a local church, they began serving the meal no one else offered. Their influence in the church community grew, and they soon became a ministry of Evangelical Community Church. Renovo Ministries now offers over 150 volunteers the opportunity to serve their community. In Fall 2007, they will be launching new opportunities for students to pursue Christ through service. Through their actions, active relationships with existing ministries, and relationships with those they serve, Renovo is devoted to sharing the gospel of Christ. As a ministry of the church, Renovo is a way for the Body of Christ to answer Christ’s call to go and make disciples within in their local, national, and global community.
